We had returned from a two year absence to try Alexander’s out again. Much improved. Food presentation very nice.

Wide menu selection and lovely lagoon setting. Grouper special, short ribs and crab cakes enjoyed by three women dining out. Nice wine and cocktail selections. Service was adequate and perfunctory, but lacking graciousness and congeniality. A second wine , requested as dinner was served, was never received and eventually cancelled. The server delivered one check to the table without inquiring if that was our preference. It was not. Staff was pleasant and table with river view was lovely. Food was delicious but portions small. I had the flounder and it was excellent but they only give you half a piece. I would definately go back.
