Frankly I was disappointed. For this price ($217 for two), I expected an exceptional experience. First, they tried to seat us in the noisy bar area when the dining room had tables open. I got an above average experience but at a premium price. My server was new and didn’t know much about wine. My grouper and Caesar salad was only ok. My date’s lobster was very good. I doubt that I will come back.
If I was not a resident of Palmetto Dunes, I would still drive from the mainland to dine at Alexander's. The employees are so pleasant and willing to make your dining experience a great one. The menu choices are great as well.
The food was excellent. Service outstanding and wine list one of the best in SC, with several "allotted" wines like Clod Apalta. Will return.
Calamari appetizer cold and soggy; should not put sauce over it serve separate Grouper portion tiny and over cooked.
