We’d wanted to try Alexander’s since we started visiting HHI. Finally, we were able to visit and were not disappointed. Plan to go again while we are here.
The food was excellent, & the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was so quiet and intimate.
They need to get a more updated twist to their menu. Very old fashioned , nothing exciting on the menu. A lot of thrown together foods trying to be more modern but are greatly missing the mark. Waitress seemed unenthusiastic, tired.
The menu and website touted “Local catch of the day. Straight from the dock to our kitchen.”. They served red grouper as their “fresh local catch”, which is not a local species, and was flown in packaged on ice. We could have gotten that in Atlanta. The server seemed annoyed that we even asked about the “local catch of the day” and it’s “freshness”.
