The food was excellent, & the service was outstanding. The atmosphere was so quiet and intimate.
They need to get a more updated twist to their menu. Very old fashioned , nothing exciting on the menu. A lot of thrown together foods trying to be more modern but are greatly missing the mark. Waitress seemed unenthusiastic, tired.
The menu and website touted “Local catch of the day. Straight from the dock to our kitchen.”. They served red grouper as their “fresh local catch”, which is not a local species, and was flown in packaged on ice. We could have gotten that in Atlanta. The server seemed annoyed that we even asked about the “local catch of the day” and it’s “freshness”. Still our very favorite restaurant on Hilton Head Island. Also, BEST gin martini on Hilton Head Island with its signature hand-stuffed bleu cheese olives! And of course, EVERYTHING is first class. Wonderful local seafood and great service!!
We were seated in the bar area. We were by the window and had a lovely view of the water but the bar area was loud and I would have preferred to be in the main dining room. The food and service were good.
