We came for the Early Bird Dinner. Portions were perfect. The Server told us the regular dinner sizes were slightly larger but when we got our food, it was plenty. Prime Rib is 10oz. Shrimp n Grits were the best I ever had with a lot of flavor. Key lime brulee was very unique and tasty too.

We were so happy that this place reopened. It's normally our first meal in Hilton head and is always wonderful
Under new ownership Alexander's seems to have improved a bit. I had the Wiener Schnitzel--a very generous portion but lacking in flavor. Veal without much pizzaz. The veggies were quite good. The view is nice here, the crowd a much older group. The AC was cranking was too high--it must have been 60 degrees in there. We'd give this another shot next time down. We like the setting. I still do not consider this a top 10 restaurant on HHI. But is is improving.
