The roast beef on early dining menu was outstanding! Free glass of wine 🍷 was a pleasant plus.
The restaurant has changed hands since last year. The food was still good, but enjoyed the motorcycles from before, which made it unique. That said, the new owners have done a lovely job decorating the interior. The food was good, but the service was not up to their usual standard. We had flat tonic and flat soda in our drinks even with reordering them. They did comp us on two different drinks after the third try. The restaurant was wonderful but they did not have our reservation that was booked that morning on the Open Table App. Fortunately they were not fully booked and were able to seat us. Disaster averted.
Our favorite restaurant to eat at when on Hilton Head Island.
We were concerned with the recent change in ownership. The menu has changed, but several of the old menu items are still available. Alexander's has been one of our favorites for over 20 years. The new chef did a great job; especially modifying a grouper dish because of my wife's shellfish allergy. She said it was one of her best meals at Alexander's. The seafood bisque was outstanding.
