We were so happy that this place reopened. It's normally our first meal in Hilton head and is always wonderful
Under new ownership Alexander's seems to have improved a bit. I had the Wiener Schnitzel--a very generous portion but lacking in flavor. Veal without much pizzaz. The veggies were quite good. The view is nice here, the crowd a much older group. The AC was cranking was too high--it must have been 60 degrees in there. We'd give this another shot next time down. We like the setting. I still do not consider this a top 10 restaurant on HHI. But is is improving.
We arrived early and ordered off the early bird menu and the food was delicious
Beautiful local restaurant in the Palmetto Dunes complex. Our favorite special occasion restaurant when we are in Hilton Head. Excellent service, always a treat.
Food good not great. Profiteroles skimpy portion,shells stale. Hostess walked my husband,recovering from surgery and wearing a race the full length of the restaurant and seated us at the farthest table next to the servers station in the setting sun with sun in his face. And, blinds don't adjust. Some training needed here. A hostess needs to be more than a cute face. Waitress told us blinds don't adjust and moved us to better table.
