My wife and I come to HHI once or twice a year from Charleston. We were told that the restaurant had closed but to our delight it was reopened recently. Food and service are excellent. Recommend for a nice evening of dining.
Tried the recently reopened Alexanders. The food was tasty and the portions good. Our server was excellent. We will certainly be back. One item they should focus on is their wine book. Some of the wines are entry level and carry a mark up above expectation. Having affordable wines on the wine list should not mean the quality is low - there are many gems out there and some more focus in this area is needed.
Food was very good and the setting along the lagoon is very nice, but service did not match the food quality. Their computers went down while we were at the bar and everything came to an extended halt as they tried to figure out how to fix them. They were hesitant to seat us at our table and when they did, the waitress was far less than attentive. We will give them another try based on the food, but if the service isn't better the next time, we won't come back
