Perfect girls night out in the lemon room. The food was incredible and the cocktails were tasty! Notable dishes: ricotta gnocchi, sea bass, stuffed blossoms.
I was so pleased with my first visit! Amazed that it opened during Covid, I can’t imagine it won’t be a huge success. Our waiter Guiseppe from Napoli was engaging (& cute!) and the food was fabulous! In Little Italy, where most restaurants are nothing special, Allegro is an A+!
I had very high expectations with all the hype on social media but unfortunately was not that impressed with the food.
We sat at the bar and was taken care of by Joseph. They have a great wine selection, as well as food offerings (they have GF options too btw). We decided to order the zucchini blossoms, pork chops, sea bass, and chocolate lava cake for dessert. We also ordered a cup of brewed coffee which was surprisingly very good (strong and bold). They had a few menu items that weren’t available like the pasta on the wheel of cheese, a few appetizers and several cocktails were not available as well.
Allegro was a lovely experience. Patrick, our waiter, was quick, efficient and knowledgeable, but not intrusive. Everything we ordered (seafood salad, fried squash blossoms with fig sauce, pork chop and the truffle gnocchi) were absolutely delicious. Ordered the limoncello cake and a cannoli for dessert, though we didn't think we had room - but we made room!
