Some growing pains, but the food was far worth it.
It’s ok, nothing special. I have lived in LI for 10 years and thought I would give them a try. My orecchiette was really salty, my wife got a glass of wine that had already turned and was undrinkable. There are tons of better options close by but you’ll end up here if you forgot to make a reservation.
Everyone here is super nice! It’s definitely worth at least trying.
A great location and upcoming spot in Little Italy. The seafood tower was absolutely amazing which was paired with a bottle of Cabernet. Even though we were only there for an appetizer and wine the menu was very appealing. Our server was very attentive and Frankie “the wine man” is one of the best sommelier that I’ve met. We enjoyed his personality so much that we went next door to have another bottle of wine & enjoy the ambiance of Allegro. I’m definitely looking forward to going back this weekend.
Service was great. Main course was very good. It was disappointing that the restaurant only had espresso size cups for tea and coffee, and using low cost plates to serve, it takes away from the dining experience.
Great overall experience. Wonderful vibe. Great wines and charcuterie board.
This was their third service since opening, so take that info into account. I had the porkchop and my husband had the lobster cannelloni. My chop was so overcooked I had a hard time cutting it with a steak knife. Seems like it may have been pre cooked then seared again with the sauce before serving. Sauce on the lobster was not very rich. Wine selection is very nice, but be warned there are not that many bottles under $45. FABIO, our server, was awesome! He’s very bubbly and makes people happy by entertaining everyone. He’s super friendly too. Likewise to Frankie and the General Manager that night. Food was delicious and ambiance was great! Will definitely go back there
