It was wonderful to have drink and dinner service started by Beatrice and finished by Olga. Two wonderful professionals with infectious smiles. The wine, the dinner, and the company couldn't have been better. I strongly suggest you stop by Allegro when you are in the downtown San Diego area.
Service was amazing and the place had great vibes. Food is pretty pricey for what you get but food was delicious
Valentine’s Night 2023. It was very busy and we were seated close together BUT the service and meal were wonderful! It was a 3 course prefix menu…diverse options all taken from the regular menu (I think) offered something for everyone. We enjoyed…..Caesar Salad and Burrata/Prosciutto for starters, the Gnocchi and Penne for main course and for dessert, the chocolate mousse and Limoncello Cake…..everything was excellent!! Oh and the drinks….YUM! Try the lemon drop; it was perfection!
We had the Nochi , that was very good. WE also had the Salmon, that was just not bad. Our dinner for two cost us $215 and that was just basic meal. WE even brought our own bottle of wine and paid the $20 corkage fee. THe food was good, but it was definitely not a $200+ type of dinner experience. I ran out of water early and was never asked again if I wanted more. Also had to flag someoen down in order to get extra pepper on the Nochi because our waitor never asked. Overall it was an OK dinner, not terrible. But definitely no... read more
Valentine’s Day
We had a good time overall but the restaurant bit off more than they could chew. the food was alright, truthfully i think it was simply due to all the people, that the quality of the food dropped a bit but understandable on valentine’s day.
Went for Valentine’s Day dinner at 6:30. It was probably the best preset menu I’ve had in a while. The food was great decorations were a nice touch and the waitresses was friendly. Although expensive it was tasty the line was around the block when we left around 8 PM FYI.
Real good service and ambiance
Service was good and the vibe was energetic.. music was loud with a disco light in the wine cellar. Calamari was very chewy and almost every entree was served with a potato of some mashed sort. Wine list was VERY limited. Tourist haven and not a locals Italian vibe. Definitely not like being in Italy!
