It was too loud for our server to hear our order correctly. He missed ordering our salad and misheard one of our entree orders. He wasn’t apologetic about it in any way - slightly arrogant, in fact. The food was excellent. Pasta was cooked to perfection and portions were more than generous.
Allegro was great! Awesome server and great space.
We were visiting San Diego on a family vacation and we’re celebrating our son’s birthday. The kids saw a Tik Tok video of the Parmesan wheel, so we just had to try it! It was delicious and fun to watch. The service was accompanying, friendly and excellent staff.
So amazing!! Made the reservation a few weeks in advance my boyfriend and flew in from out of town excited to experience the incredible things we heard about Allegro! Best waiter best wine recommendations and best pasta! Get the gnocchi and lobster ravioli <3 if your in San Diego and want a yummy Italian food and a high end experience this is a must!
The set menu was a bit overpriced in my groups opinion but we had a great time!
My wife and I love Italian cuisine and we chose Allegro to celebrate Valentine’s Day,. We have a great time,excellent food,excellent service,great varios wines and the restaurant ambiance is beautiful.I highly recommend this restaurant.
Glasses and plates could have been cleaner - we had the glasses changed. Service was rushed due to being busy. A surcharge is added to the bill that is noted on the menu in very small lettering. Risotto, scallops and king prawns, Allegro salad and chocolate mousse were all very good.
It was wonderful to have drink and dinner service started by Beatrice and finished by Olga. Two wonderful professionals with infectious smiles. The wine, the dinner, and the company couldn't have been better. I strongly suggest you stop by Allegro when you are in the downtown San Diego area.
Service was amazing and the place had great vibes. Food is pretty pricey for what you get but food was delicious
