The server was not attentive. I ordered the lobster fettuccini and the lobster was tough and chewy.
Overall Allegro is decent. Beautiful restaurant and great ambiance. Our oysters and braised pork belly appetizers were amazing! The lobster fettuccine was meh. Seafood was cooked well but it lacked flavor. We took it for leftovers, and my boyfriend added some garlic, salt, pepper, & crushed red when reheating it and actually made in enjoyable! It was my birthday and at the end of dinner they brought me a piece of the most delicious lemon cake with a candle! It was that nice touch that would have me come back again.
My wife and I dined here for our 5th wedding anniversary. Very happy my specific table request for the reservation was honored; I really appreciated that! Service was great, food was great and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was wonderful. We enjoyed the overall experience!
Our table was loud. I felt sorry for the other diners. Other than our bad it was awesome! Lobster Pasta dish was worth the picture!
Terrific menu, terrific food. Had oysters, bone marrow, lobster ravioli, scallops on lobster mashed potatoes, and sea bass. Best dining experience in San Diego this trip.
