Christmas Dinner at Allegro with set menu. Fillet was excellent, other dishes good enough. May be a good place for a first date.
Amazing Christmas dinner!
We went here for Christmas and my family got put in the corner of the restaurant. It was literally the first table when you walk in, and we were barely in the restaurant. We went here to enjoy a nice Christmas dinner and when we looked under the table cloth we were sitting at a plastic picnic table and sitting in foldable chairs. We also had to ask our waitress (who was actually very nice) if we could get new water glasses and utensils because there was an unraveled silverware napkin on the table when we were seated. The experience here exceeded our expectations from the guest service to the meals. We came in for a unforgettable day to celebrate my birthday as well as my engagement. Our server Beatriz and food runner Victor really made our day special from their work ethic to the memorable introductions. Overall beautiful place, and amazing food!
The service and wine knowledge/recommendations from the waitstaff was outstanding. The food however is what’s keeping this review from getting even 4 stars. I know it was risky ordering a ribeye at an Italian joint, but this ribeye was definitely not a good cut and was also not seasoned thoroughly enough. It was also slightly over cooked in some parts, but I’m not the type of guy to send food back. The house specialty salad had too much blue cheese and not enough greens. First time dining there, but it won't be the last!
Fantastic ambiance and incredible food. The lobster ravioli is delicious and the service was top notch.
Calamari was too chewy. Wine was too tart when I asked for fruity and full body. Pasta dish was good, not great. The waiter and service were good though and I liked the decor and ambiance.
