I have been a customer with Amerigas for over 25 years. The last 4 years have been a total nightmare. Last year in October 2023 they came to fill my tank. The man knocked on my door and told me he couldn't fill my tank because it was too close to the house. Mind you, this is where AmeriGas installed my tank 25 years ago. He said they would send somebody out to move my tank and then they would fill it. And I use propane for my primary heat source. After 2 weeks went by. I would like to give them zero star. I have been a faithful customer for over 10 years. How do they show their appreciation:1. By raising their price to double of other companies. 2. Demanding that I fill my tank complete each time I make a purchase 3. Having customer service that literally do not speak English, and I cannot understand any of them. 4. I am posting this review about Amerigas after not receiving any propane gas for an order placed over fifteen days ago. I have made several calls to Amerigas customer service without any avail. Inside temperatures at my house have been between 45 and 47 degrees for the past week. On January 8, 2024, I placed a prepaid residential propane gas delivery request with Amerigas. I recently had the worst customer service experience I have ever had with any company. In a matter of two days I had to talk with 7 different customer service agents about delivery details. Each one gave me different information and the information given me on my online account was different as well. Considering all the money one pays per year for your service...I would think receiving accurate information is not too much to ask. We have used this company for over 15 years with automatic delivery scheduled. On Dec 28 our tank ran dry and we called for a redelivery. The driver put 40 gallons of propane in our 60-gal tank. In the past this would last 9-10 months. On Jan 19 we were empty again. Less than a month after having the tank 75% filled. On Jan 20 when I got up there was a strong odor of gas in the kitchen. We had been using them for a few years up until recently, they kept telling us that we owed them more money when our bill was paid in full every time they would come. For thw last several months we hadn't been able to get propane, we had called time and time again but they never came, the most recent time, we had reached out in December, our heater wasn't working and the temperatures were reaching into the negatives in January, we still had no heat and no propane. I would give them zero stars if possible and would encourage anyone who still has Amerigas as their propane provider to switch. Here are my complaints over 2 years of having them as my provider before switching. 1. They charge at least $.70 more per gallon then other providers in my area. 2. The charge $25 in extra fees on every delivery that other providers do not charge. 3. During January 2022 and January 2023 my tank got so low that they had to come out for an emergency delivery even though I was set for auto-deliveries. ... read more

Time and time again, Amerigas and their call center's have failed us. I'm even a GenX, and I cannot stand their call center process. On 1/22; my wife and I simultaneously called as she could not get through. She is the account holder. Her phone call dropped, mine stayed on. During the call, they asked for the authorized user. My wife took my phone and said her name, and said that I can be an authorized user. Apparently, though a simple process, that was not done.
