Canceled contract March 30, 2023, after asking to purchase tank and was told no, we could not. Other companies charge at least $1 less per gallon and no additional fees. To date, July 6, 2023, the full tank is still on our property, not connected for use. Called multiple times, appointments set for pickup, no show or call. Was billed $844, paid then disputed with credit card for the problems we're having. Bottom line Amerigas will owe me, they need to pickup the tank, issue my refund and call it a day. My wife and I had AmeriGas for several years It had a gas leak in the propane tank the end of June we contacted them they came out they locked it off. They said there would be about no later than June 5th to take the tank get it repaired and return it. No one ever showed so I went with a different company and the price was much less. Terrible company to deal with, over-priced product ($4.11 per gallon and a local company is charging $2.59) and if you try to contact someone in the company, you get someone at a call center in the Philippines with a rehearsed conversation and no satisfaction. . Amerigas owes us $106.09 for the propane left in the tank when we canceled our service with them on Dcember 2022, but they have yet to honor their commitment to refund that amount. Horrible company, left us without gas when we are contracted for automatic delivery. Customer service is Horrible and can't talk to people in the US.
AmeriGas does not even deserve one star. They are the worst! Avoid at all cost! Every time we have needed service it has taken several phone calls and taken at least a week before someone could come fill/service our tanks, even when it was an emergency. We live in the north and we had tenants without heat because they neglected to keep the tanks full and took days to come fill them. This company obviously does not care about customers. That is obvious by the reviews on Google and BBB as well. I was looking to get a quote for new propane tank and service for a new home construction. I had heard great things about Carolane from my new neighbor, so I called them only to find out Amerigas had swallowed them up. They don’t follow through when they tell you what they will do.
When I registered and created my account on the phone with an amerigas representative I clearly stated I was to be will call only meaning I have to call and request for a delivery. Yesterday, amerigas arrived and filled 2 of my tanks with 150 gallons of propane. I never requested this delivery. Customer service stated my account said I was auto delivery for under 30% in my tank. I said I was supposed to be will call only and I can't afford $319 bill they were charging me. Negative 10 Stars for DESTROYING our property after we caught them in a lie- HORRIBLE COMPANY - HORRIBLE employees! We called to have our tank filled. We scheduled a time with Amerigas - didn’t fill the tank stating a dog was in the yard. Lie, our dog is 9 lb inside only dog and we have a fenced yard that is locked due to a pool so no neighbors dog was in there either.
