Amerigas is using a third party calling system for customers that is absolutely dangerous due to the importance of propane in cold weather. I contacted Amerigas to get my propane tuned back on from a leak that forced the gas to be turned off .Horrible timing since Eastern VA is having a polar vortex and the house heat is propane. Amerigas gets 0 stars from me . Called on 2/6/26 about a delivery that was supposed to be by 2/2/26 was placed on urgent fill list and told it would be delivered 2/7/26 it never showed .They have the worst customer service nothing but getting the run around . and this isn't the first time they have done this wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. They have breached our contract. And obviously by all the reviews here I can see they don't care about there customers. There are other ******************** companies out there ... read more

Almost no domestic customer service. No local communication. Never on time. Nobody you call can help with anything. They take advantage of customers that are in high need of their product and ***** prices. Go with any other propane company than this.

They say we can't order until we're at 30% and then they miss the delivery date and we have fight with them to deliver and then the driver literally drives right past us and now we can't run our heat because we're now are at 5%.We call them and they say that because the county hasn't plowed the roads yet the driver can't get to us.They have terrible customer service and they're always late on delivery and then they try to make it your fault so they can get more money out of you.Using this company has been one of the worst mi... read more

Key facts about Amerigas:1. Higher prices compared to competitors 2. Extraordinarily unreliable deliveries 3. Useless customer service (off shored with no possibility to speak to local or corporate personnel)4. An apparent culture of disdain for customers and total lack of ethics.5. My consumer complaint is one of about 200 filed with my state's attorney ****************. TLDR: they've totally earned their dismal reputation. Do business with them only if you enjoy being treated like c*** .

Would leave 0 if I could. This company is not worth even considering. They didn't deliver to us in time even though we pre-paid for the delivery and it caused us to smell propane and run out of propane. We called the emergency line was told to evacuate due to possible leak, which we knew it was most likely being out. The order had been in a little over a week. We were to have someone come out and check and lock the tank and to pay $440 ($300 for emergency and $140 for leak test to be performed). It has now been 2 days withou... read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with. Nothing but apologies. Deliveries late, unauthorized work done to my tank. If I could give them 0 stars I would or even negative stars. Don't waste your time with this company.

As others have stated already, WORST COMPANY EVER. I won't bother going into the details - just look at the other reviews. Do not sign up for service with this company - go anywhere else - ANYWHERE!
