0 stars.Amerigas has left me without heat, an oven, a dryer, or a stove for over a month. I had to hire a different company to fix a propane leak because amerigas would take a month to repair it. They only need to come turn my tank back on. I was told my multiple agents my order was escalated but March 14th was the closest date for someone to come unlock my tank. We were billed twice for filling our tank twice in January within one week of each filling. Both invoices show Amerigas filled the tank to 80%. We have requested verbally and written for feedback why the two bills for filling the tank twice within one week since mid-January but no response. Multiple Amerigas service people said the first filling could not have occurred so why the invoice. Customer service has reviewed bills and agrees this should not have happened but no one at Amerigas local office has corrected the invoice... read more

My experience with this company has been anything but pleasant. I call them to remove their tank because we simply can't afford it. They want 200.00 to remove the tank. They charge us for tank rental and we send them the 40.00 payment and we get another bill and a 36.00 late charge! Can't win for losing with these people! We are on Social Security. We can't do them anymore.

Amerigas is difficult to work with. Accents of workers are so thick you can't understand them Prices and fees are way more than other distributors in our area. And to remove their tank, they want 200.00 ! We are on Social Security and can no longer afford them. Plus they charge rental payments of 40.00 and then charge us 36.00 late fees when it's NOT late.

Amerigas is the worst propane company in New Mexico. Their customer service call centers are in another country. There are no local offices open here. Deliveries are not being met on time or the time frame promised by the company. Their prices are outrageous. Delivery drivers are unprofessional. I am currently looking for a local gas company, that has customers first mentality.

All of these fantastic reviews! Well, here is another. 72 year old mother in law living out in the country. She is widowed and has had service for 15+ years. Amerigas has a delivery "pending" since about 16 days ago. It's upstate NY in February. Amerigas has the ability to read her tank remotely but they don't show. Called multiple times with the please of speaking with people who are most likely non-US cititzens speaking English as a second language. After 1 wasted initial trip, 1 canceled appointment, and the 3rd with a hours work, installing a line and tapping it off. It was pressurized and leaked out before finishing the job. Dropped the tank off in the front yard where it still sit. After the gas leaked out, I decided to call someone else. A month went by waiting for them to get a permit that they tried to get me to get. Very poor company. Under no circumstance should you sign up with AmeriGas. Customer Service Ctr is offshored and local District Mgrs refuse to talk directly to customers

If there no stars Amerigas would get none. When i call to have our empty tanks refilled i get to talk to someone half the world away whom i can't understand. I requested tanks to be refilled on 3 different occasions with no response. I am currently paying rent kn 2 tanks that are empty. I have waited over 2 months for a response. I would advise anyone needing propane to find another more reliable company.
