This is the worst company ever. Several years ago when we started the service with them they had local folks that you could speak to now you can not get anyone on the phone you can understand. We have been trying to get our tank picked up for three years now with no success. They keep sending us the rental bill for the year and expecting payment. They have told us several times they were coming and never heard from them. **************** is a zero with this **********************.

This propane company has been the worst I have ever seen. Terrible customer service, wait times to speak to someone on the phone upwards of 2-25 minutes each time. Several transfers later, you might find a person in a department that can actually help you out, but maybe not. Outrageous pricing to have them pick up the tank we no longer wanted. Will never ever ever recommend them to anyone ever.

The service I received does not even deserve a single star. Your employee hung up on me. I called to purchase my underground tank from Amerigas. I called several years ago and was given a price quote. When I called today, I was told they no longer sell their underground 500 gallon tanks. I have had this tank for 16 years. If I sell my house, the new people agree to use Amerigas or the tank must be dug up and removed. Your Indian employee was hard to understand on the phone, He got testy with me and eventually hung up on me. ... read more

I cancelled my service due to the fact they could not comprehend I needed my propane tank hooked up to my new house from my existing house ON the same property. I was on budget billing and have called, chatted, email several times since November of 2025. They have not came and got the tank or refunded my $338.00 credit. Each time I talk to them they assure me they will do both. Here are in March and nothing.

We have had service with your company for years and years. I would say we're loyal customers. On *******, 2026 we had our tank topped off. On Feb. 7th after getting home from work I smelled the smell of gas (rotten eggs). We could not figure where it was coming from. Didn't seem to be the logs or the tank. Only smelled it strongly in my bedroom, which is closest to the tank. I immediately called Amerigas emergency number. As we waited I still searched for the cause and finally as I moved some clothese to be washed I found a ... read more

Our local company was bought out a few times and eventually we ended up with Amerigas. Same nice guy delivering, and I thought the cost of propane was just up like everything else. Then, my renter smelled something suspicious and we called to have it checked out. I didn't think they charged for that, but I got a bill. OK. The shocking part was learning that charge was over SEVEN TIMES what the local company charges for a house call, and that I had been paying DOUBLE the per gallon rate. A year and a half after my last delive... read more

I bought a house in the fall of 2020. Amerigas had a propane tank on the property from the previous owner and wished to change propane suppliers. In order to remove tank they want to charge me $499.00 to which according to their residential customer agreement (4. Leased Equipment) " that if you sell your property you will notify company at least 30 days in advance and will inform buyer that leased equipment is owned by the company (Amerigas). I was not informed of this requirement and did not request a refill until August of... read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I canceled my accounts I had 3. Im changing because their customer service is terrible. They are charging me 419$ for removing each tank. The only time I ever talked to anyone that could do anything over the phone was when I canceled my accounts. This is a poor excuse for a company. If you need propane save yourself a lot of headache and DO NOT USE THEM.

Called for emergency refill because our gauge was broken and the tank was completely empty. House runs almost entirely on propane, so the delivery was critical. Especially with a newborn in the home. ********* charged us an emergency fee of $300, said they would be out within 24 hours and we had to be home for the delivery. Nothing in the first day (Friday) (no contact either) called several times on the status after 24 hours had passed. **************** could not provide us with any answers, just that the delivery was sched... read more
