I had issues with them refilling the tank and then they let me run out in the middle of winter. They then said it would be over a week until they could fill it. I switched companies and told them to pick up the tank. It sat in my yard for over a year and then they picked it up and gave me a $500 charge!
On 1/17/26 I requested a fill up of my tank from Amerigas. My tank at the time read ~30%. On 1/20/26 the driver arrived to make a delivery. We received 2 invoices for that delivery. The first is for ***** gal, or approximately *****%. According to this invoice, I only had ***** gal or *****% left in my tank. That would mean I used between 25 gal and 35 gal, or 5% and 7%, in three days. Since my current reading shows my tank at 66%-68%, I have used approximately 14% in 31 days. That's 2.25 gal or

I HAVE BEEN A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 11 YEARS. HOWEVER THIS VERY COLD WINTER HAS BROUGHT OUT THE TRUE COLORS OF THIS COMPANY. MY HOME IS 100% HEATED BY PROPANE. MY 1ST TANK WAS ON ZERO AND THE 2ND ON 10%. I BEGGED THEM TO UP MY DELIVERY DATE DUE TO 3 DEGREE NIGHTS AND POINTED OUT I DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TO LAST TILL MY 3 WEEK DELIVERY. Amerigas doesn't even deserve one star. Price gouging would be an understatement. They filled 100 gallons of LP in early February at $4.899 per gallon. My neighbor had his filled at the same time by another company for $2.04 per gallon. So I paid over $300 more for the same number of gallons. Highway robbery. Switching companies as should everyone else.
If I could give zero stars I would. Have been promised delivery for The past week - have spent so much time on the phone trying to find out why I'm not getting my delivery only to be promised it will be here "tomorrow" now I'm dangerously low on propane and no delivery in sight. Will be switching companies. Stay away from Amerigas!
AmeriGas has the absolute worst customer service in the ****** When calling, it is impossible to get someone who speaks proper english, their call center is in ****** and no one is capable of scheduling a pickup of their propane tank. I purchased my home over 8 months ago from an estate, and after monthly calls I am told every time that they need proof of the previous owners DEATH before they could make any notes and schedule a tank pickup. I will make sure to tell everyone in my area NOT TO USE AMERIGAS.
I called Amerigas on 1/19/26 to deliver as I was at 20% in tank . Scheduled the delivery between 1/27-1/30. I called on 1/30 as I hadnt gotten the notification for delivery and an ice storm was coming in and temperatures were going down to about 10 degrees . I was told they would be there by end of day but did not show up. Over the next 10 days I called 21 times and always got a foreign person that I could barely understand from a call center .
