I wish there was an option to give zero stars. After reading the reviews below, this is definitely a case of "misery always has company." The overseas customer service team is completely useless. Amerigas is clearly not giving them the knowledge nor the service training to be effective in any way. Communication is incomplete and the service scripts are laughable. Twice, for the same issue, my requests have not been processed. An additional time, the request was mis-categorized. Seems that the company is banking on the cost o... read more

Worst customer service ive ever experienced. I have been told conflicting information. As a new customer I was told I would have to pay up front and would need to fill my entire tank. 1800.00. I did not have that amount at the time. To save gas I was using a small space heater in a bedroom. I got down to 7 %. I called and explained I only had 500.00. They agreed to fill that amount but then tried yo charge me 340.00 to expedite delivery because I was low. When I first called I was at 30%. So I have to pay up front for my gas... read more

Worst company ever! They bought up all the small local propane companies and forced everyone to use them because their was no other choice. The terms and conditions contract you signed was with the local company you started with not theirs. Customer service is the worst. Prices are high. Billing is a nightmare. Dealing will them is a nightmare. And they hold the monopoly. Cannot believe what they are doing is legal.

I understand it is winter and AmeriGas is very busy, but this is unacceptable. I also understand that you need to save money and offshore your customer service call centers. Someone on your leadership team needs to take a serious look at your business model, more importantly your customer service model and communication. The kicker to all of this is that when this happened to us last year, I wanted to switch providers to Woodfin Oil. But guess what, I “rent” the underground 500 gallon tank from AmeriGas and in order for me t... read more

I have been an AmeriGas customer for 9 years and I cannot believe how bad their customer service is. I would NEVER use them or refer them to anyone. They are a case study of what not to do in Customer Service. I am so frustrated and words cannot explain how incompetent they truly are. How they have a business license is remarkable to say the least.

Amerigas was an inexpensive propane provider that supplied our home with propane to heat our home in Trainer, Pa but they also had serious issues that should be taken into account when choosing this supplier. Their delivery drivers came to our property previously and had lit a cigarette next to our tanks while filling our tanks with propane several times and this was brought up to management multiple times yet the same delivery driver maintained employment with the company and delivered propane to us after this happened. Als... read more

I have never dealt with a company as bad as Amerigas. Never. After 24 years of suppling propane, they discovered that they had placed my tank too close to the property line and suspended filling my tank. Amerigas put it there and had been filling it for two decades. They never told us that propane was suspended and continued to send monthly estimated bills, which we paid. The gas ran out on Christmas Eve and they refused to fill my tank until it was relocated but they refused to schedule the tank move. The only response was ... read more

I feel they price gouge their customers horribly. My area, average cost/gal $2.42. Amerigas is charging me currently $3.71! It is horrendous. I have been on the phone multiple times over billing and delivery questions and nothing gets resolved. I am stuck in a contract for 1 more year. If I end early? A $149 penalty plus $149 tank removal fee. Lord knows if they add anything else on. This seems to be criminal what they are doing.

Amerigas is a teribble company to deal with. Not only are their prices higher than many other local companies, but their customer service is atrocious. I had switched propane companies in October 2023, and it took numerous phones calls and messages for Amerigas to pick up their tank. Finally after about 4 weeks they had picked up the tank and then processed to charge me a pick up fee. Although they did credit me the amount of propane left in the tank, I was never informed of the pickup fee when this was requested. I have bee... read more
