I have phone records to AmeriGas Five (5) different times requesting the pickup of a tank that I no longer use. I requested every time to notify me that they will be arriving, and I would be available. These calls started 9-25-2024, 10-29,2024, 11-12-2024, 11-14-2024, and finally on 11-18-2024. Have been a customer for several years. Their tank, that I pay rent for, rusted out and leaked over $200.00 worth of my propane. When their "technician" came out to troubleshoot the problem he pressurized the tank with several gallons of propane (I would have used compressed air). That propane immediately, and quite loudly, leaked out of the hole in their tank. They disconnected and removed the tank that day. I discontinued service with Amerigas and asked them to pick up their propane tank when I realized that they were charging more than twice the going rate for propane. A few days after they picked it up I received a bill for $313 to close my account and pick up their tank. I called their customer service phone number, and, after speaking with two of their employees from some other country which took about half an hour, I was told that I would not be charged the $313. I bought home with existing Amerigas account, l own tank. Paid last week for 400 gallons cash, can't get LivE body on phone, automated always told every day warned no one home yet never came on property or left note or driver call in on site. When I bought my house, the propane tank had been leased from Amerigas, so I continued the service. However, after several years, I discovered that they were charging way above the national average for the propane. When I called to question their price, I was not given an explanation, just that it was their price. So I terminated my contract, and was charged outrageous fees to remove the leased tank...over $400.00. I could never refer this company to anyone.
This company is a rip off. HORRIBLE COMPANY. I will say is RUN, RUN, RUN from this company. Any who has them find someone else, you will save money. They will get you for a pick up fee plus additional service call fee, but in long run you will save money.. RUN, RUN,RUN. pass it along so this company will go out of business.
Poor customer service. **** are from the Phillipines and laugh in your face when you are in need of help. Incompetent and can't or won't comprehend English. Called multiple times trying to get heat before Thanksgiving and a freeze warning. Elderly involved. No help what so ever Worst customer service ever, besides *****
The worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered Propane thru the online portal when my tank was at 25% took them 3 weeks to get to me which was fine because i still had gas. When they came they filled up my neighbors tank not mine. When I called of course ***** from India answered and was zero help. I explained the situation and told them how I was going to run out but he told me it would be $300 dollar fee for a rush delivery. For some reason I can't leave a review of the Amerigas that services my house in ******, MI so I'll just leave it here: Horrible experience. Very deceitful. Watch them closely. We moved into our current home in ******, ** in January of '23. It had an existing 500 gal tank. I had a wonderful experience setting up my account and getting (what I was promised was) a locked in price for a year. Shame on me for not keeping an eye on the invoices.
