A landscaper accidentally damaged the propane line at our home. We immediately contacted AmeriGas, which sent a technician who repaired the line and shut off our propane service.We do not dispute shutting off the gas for safety. Our complaint is AmeriGas's failure to promptly test the repaired system and restore service.The technician left with our gas shut off. How does this business show an A-?, there are literally HUNDREDS of complaints! I switched propane companies last summer. I asked Amerigas to come pick up their tank. They told me there would be a fee to empty the tank, credit for propane in the tank and a fee to remove the tank. After ONE YEAR no one had come to remove the tank. I called again, over ONE HOUR on hold to speak to someone. They said they could be out in 4 to 6 weeks and again, fee to empty tank, credit for propane in the tank and fee to remove tank. ******** delivery and customer service. Hours on the phone trying to get delivery time due to no show within scheduled window. Cancelled service and was charged a horrible amount for tank pick up which took them over 30 days to pick up. Should have been charged $199.00 for pick up but pick up bill was for $ $445.18. I tried to dispute but hours and transfers on the phone led me nowhere except added finance charges while I was disputing. Out of frustration I just finally stopped and paid the bill. Amerigas sent me a bill for picking up their tank. I called in April and talked to ***** in Retention, telling him I was being charged way too much much for my gas. The year before I called asking for a better price, they gave 15 cents off. They charged $3.25 | could get the same at $1.89 a gallon but payed the price, I ask ***** if I could get a better price, he said I would need to wait till June 1 2026. We had service with Amerigas for years. We were told twice when moving that we would be credited for the 79% propane in our 250 gallon tank. AFTER they picked it up, they tell us that ARKANSAS doesn't require them to credit it back to **. They even acknowledged the notes where their employees told us we would get credit. So, they instead billed us $432.00 to pick up the tank and get our nearly 200 gallons of propane for themselves. Pitiful! Don't use Amerigas!!

Terrible service on deliveries and when trying to make contact with the business. No response on website contact request and wait times over an hour when trying to call. Very high unexpected annual charges that competitors do not charge. Now when finally canceling service and asking for tank to be removed it is going to cost more than $500. I can fly across the ** for less, this is our tank from our home to their yard about 10 miles away. Never want to have to deal with this company again. Wish I could rate them zero stars

Beware of using AmeriGas! This company Does Not provide customer service at Any level of their organization. I have had multiple issues with local service and tried to use their customer service line to get resolutions and they simply ****** care about the customer! Please do your own research and you will find this is simply how AmeriGas operates! RUN AWAY from AmeriGas any chance you get!!!

I don't understand how this shameful company is still allowed to do business. Please, read the hundreds of complaints and believe all of them. The BBB only publishes 1 out of 20 of the responses on this company. We have discontinued service with them and we just hope they do not make up any additional charges that we will owe them. At this point I don't care how much money they charge me I will pay it just to get rid of this scum company. The customer service of ********************** is so poor it is laughable. Simply absurd. I could not get them to fill a tank last October (2025). After repeated attempts to resolve the issue I was still waiting propane in December. Three service calls were scheduled and each one resulted in a no-show. At that point I had no choice but to discontinue service with Amerigas I initiated that process at the end of December 2025.
