I cancelled my account/service with ********************** back in 2019. I have received monthly bills from Amerigas since cancellation regarding tank usage/storage which has been just sitting on my property for 4 years empty waiting to get picked up. I have called at least 20 times over the 4 years for a service rep to come and get the tank that is very plain site and easy access as we live in the country. Horrible company with poor service and lots of hidden charges. We discontined service with them in December 2023 and went to another company for this reason and the exist price of propane once you applied the hidden charges.Final billing has charges again that were not previous stated or included in the our paperwork. We have 2 tanks under one account on the same property, same address. We ordered 300gal and requested it be split 150gal each tank. Apparently this is an impossible task for them so they didn't deliver any propane. We were cautious about them so we charged our credit card not debit. Upon their failure to deliver, we immediately disputed the charge and also called to cancel/refund. I was a customer for over 10 year and then they started charging for tank rental $200 a year. Then they started raising their prices. My last fill up, the cost for propane was $3.35 a gallon. The price in my area was for propane is less them $2.00 a gallon. I canceled my serive with them and they want to charge me $300. I have also been trying to get a credit for the propane in the tank for the last three month. Everytime I call customer service I get put on hold and then they hang up on me. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. My ex-boyfriend and I split up several years ago and the propane was in his name at my house. I have always called, ordered and paid for the propane as it is prepaid and we do not need regular deliveries. I purchase it 3 x a year. We split up a couple years ago and because it is prepaid, he told me to just leave it in his name to save me the hassle. Amerigas is a terrible company and we have been without propane for 4 days because their system changed our status from auto to will call for no reason and we were not alerted. When I asked them why it was changed they kept saying we changed our payment method but its been the same for the last 6 years. Not to mention I was in the phone with 3 different reps over the weekend for almost an hour each time and when I asked to speak with a supervisor I was on hold for 45 minutes then hung up on. Smelt propane around tank last year. Called, they said a technician came I assumed that was the truth. 6 months later same smell same place again same thing and finally last week I call and again have a leak and they tell you to evacuate the premises when you have a leak and says a technician is on the way. Put monitor on Private tank without permission and won't remove it. No response for 2 months. It turned off the pilot light when I removed it. Could have blown up the building or caused broken pipes if it was still freezing at night.
