The worse condescending doesn’t let you talk makes you uncomfortable never again
Really uncomfortable experience with Dr. Shay during a pap smear. I told him I had a copper IUD and was told by a doctor that it was good for 12 years. He was really rude and laughed at me telling me I was wrong. Would not recommend.
I was scheduled to see another doctor in the practice but she called in sick. Dr. Shay refused to give me a pap smear because I'm a virgin. He said if I underwent the test I "won't be a virgin anymore." Other doctors I've spoken to and information I've read online says women should begin getting pap smears once they are sexually active or at age 21 regardless of whether they are sexually active. Orders unnecessary tests that are not part of a routine exam and are not covered by well woman’s visit. Very rushed visit.
