I was scheduled to see another doctor in the practice but she called in sick. Dr. Shay refused to give me a pap smear because I'm a virgin. He said if I underwent the test I "won't be a virgin anymore." Other doctors I've spoken to and information I've read online says women should begin getting pap smears once they are sexually active or at age 21 regardless of whether they are sexually active.
