While I've always received good service from Animal Hospital of Lubbock, I find it frustrating that I can't get an annual rabies vaccine for either of my two dogs without paying for an exam for both of my dogs ($90) for the unnecessary "service" of telling me that my dogs look healthy. After calling around, I've discovered that a number of clinics will administer a rabies vaccine *without* charging for an unnecessary exam. AHoL has told me that State Law Requires that a vet (and not a vet tech) administer the rabies vaccine.... read more
I have always had nothing but good things to say about the Animal Hospital of Lubbock, but our last visit was one that left me absolutely heart broken. We went in with a new puppy and left with nothing due to the incompetence of the staff. We have always been pleasant and trusted Dr. Jones and the rest of the staff but were taken advantage of. I had a appointment for my bird. Waited a hour . Then the vet wouldn't let me go back with my bird. Then I ask for them to come talk to me first. They never did. Then I was told they didn't want to mess with birds today. How would that make you feel I left crying . I hope every one see this. If you go there good lucky.7-11-14
Should be a selection for zero stars but here goes. They treat their employees like crap yelling and screaming at them its horrible. One doctor doesn't like female issues and talks down to every woman that works there. Im never taking my animals there again and I feel so bad for those who work there and get treated like shit.
Sad to say we will never visit the Animal Hospital of Lubbock again. Every vet we have ever used has charged us one price for a procedure and then included everything needed. Here we were quoted one price and when I received the bill there was an additional charge for anesthesia, antibiotics, and pain management adding up to almost 100$. That would have been fine with me if it was disclosed when we were asking about prices BUT IT WAS NOT.
