I brought my dog in right before close one evening for a very bad cut on his paw pad. Every one was super nice and I was comfortable letting them work on him. They came back with an estimate for almost $700 for 5 stitches on his foot. The insisted on heart worm checking and fecal parasite testing and wanted all this money. I left knowing better and took him to another vet in the morning...they wouldn't stitch him up that evening anyways...they were ready to go home. Is it true that the animal hospital of Townlake and the cat clinic of Woodstock has been sold to a corporation in California. Why are you not telling your clients that Dr. Weaver sold the business.
When my family moved here to Georgia in June of 2007 from New Jersey, we used this vet for a while and was okay with them as far as when it came to giving our animals checkups and shots. That change when Sarah, a now deceased canine, became diagnosed with diabetes. They give her the wrong insulin to use and gauge us for money for her treatment as well as treating us like we were poor pet owners who did not know what we were doing. We have a sick dog and are out of town and she's coughing up blood and they're trying to send her home with nobody there to care for her. The manager was incredibly rude and hung up on us as we were speaking to her. We told her we would never use them again and she told us that she didn't need our business, that they already had a lot of business! We shall never be using them again!!
Called way too early & they picked up the phone and told us to bring in our dog immediately. The dog was too sick to stand and the doctor got down on the floor to examine him. 3 hours later he was in surgery and they pulled out a sock(s). Never felt rushed. Felt well informed about his treatment, costs and recovery protocols.
I don't know if ownership has changed or something else has occurred, but our last few visits for boarding and vet services were awful. Today they messed up our no bath boarding reservation and brought our soaking wet pet to us at checkout without even an offer of having her dried before getting in our car. The receptionist was extremely rude to my husband blaming him for the incorrect reservation and to top it off he had to wait forever to check out.
Good family friends have gone here with their dog and had absolutely horrible service. Please do not go here. They will take 2000 dollars just to tell you a non professional "diagnosis". Wish I could do 0 stars.
