Dr Marrinson is the best veterinarian we've been to. We moved from Canton to Blairsville in 2020. We still take our dogs to AMSC.

Doctor Marrinson saved our dogs life and gave us 5 more years with her. Our papillon passed out. We rushed her to a vet we had never met before (Dr M) who identified a giant mass of cancer on her aorta and kidney. We approved surgery and Dr M removed the hermangiosarcoma. With recovery we were able to enjoy time with our girl for 5 more years. We owe so much to Dr M. I read the few 1 star reviews and think they are extremely unfair. Both reviews start saying that the doctors are "great" and "amazing" but they have an issue... read more

I take my dogs and lizards here and they are amazing. They are always right and they have saved my animals lives seriously. I love Dr Duprel. And just met Dr T today. He saw my 12 yr old blind foster pit, Vlad that is having trouble breathing. He was wonderful. And actually took it serious. This is the third vet Vlad has seen for this because I have to take him where the rescue wants. And the others were a waste of time. But today I took him where I take my babies and I'm glad I did. I have 3 parakeets that do not like vet visits for any reason. They are aproximently 2-3years old. I took them to the Animal medical and surgery center the other day for pedicures. Dr. Duprel was extreamly Patient with each bird as she gently caught each in a towel and quickly trimed the nails perfectly and returned to the cage. No trauma. No pain. About a month ago I had the scare of my life when my Beagle, Charlie, started profusely drooling and hacking up blood after she ate her breakfast. Turns out she had gotten a kibble lodged in her throat. But I was at this vet FIRST THING when they opened and they immediately welcomed us in and Charlie was the first animal they saw even though we didn't have an appointment. They were kind and very thorough. They monitored her all day and made sure she was safe before she came home.

This place has amazing staff. I had to bring my dog in for an emergency visit on a Saturday. My fur kid had been crying in pain and couldn't walk much. After calling around 3 different places, Animal Medical & Surgical was the only one that was able to fit us in. Once we got there, we didn't have to wait long and everyone (front desk, vet tech and vet) was super helpful and informational. This Vet office is awesome!! Excellent customer service. This is the only place I take my pets. Dr Tarabula is the Bomb. This Vet office is so clean. The staff so caring so kind and all extremely professional.

I have an exotic bird and when we recently had a medical emergency I needed a vet with expertise in birds. That can be hard to find and having used a regular vet before I can tell you there is no confidence if the vet is acting fearful and starring curiously at the sick bird. This never happened here. They were all pros! My bird was worked in right away. The assistant was confident and handled the bird carefully and confidently. The doctor was amazing! She knew birds and even has one of her own.
