Stay away from A&S like the plague! Don?t let their fancy sales pitch sucker you in! They have little to no communication with you during the project. On the rare occasion you do hear something about scheduling it is a lie and when you question them on it they lie again. These people have been a total nightmare. Do an internet search on them and you will find horror story after horror story about not only their poor communication but also poor workmanship requiring extensive repairs within only a few years. Buyers beware!
The salesman's explanation & the plans provided were not the same, resulting in a pool that does not look as expected. Construction has been slower than promised. Scheduled work is usually a day or two later than promised. Rarely able to reach ofc contact. Engineer is good about returning phone calls & professional when doing so. On time and on budget! Extremely courteous and helpful, however I had to initiate most of the communication. Project Manager did not make updates to me and frequently was unavailiable to immediately come to the job site to alleviate my concerns. Most problems were resolved within 2 days but it was very frustrating to wait for answers for 48 hours. This is a very good company and I would hire them again.
Overall the construction of the pool was great. However, sales staff was not great, even though all was cleared up in the end. I have recommended them to someone interested in building a pool in this area too. ServiceMagic is a great way to find just who I needed. I will use you all again.
Project will be done in April, 2005. I will update this then.
A&S Pools hire many different subcontractors and they were the main reason for the low assessment of the work done. On a daily basis we would need to call these people to eventually show up and perfom their job. Only by shouting and threats we would convince them to act. At the end of the day, it was A&S Pools that we signed the contract with and so they are to be blamed for this painful cooperation. The quality of the pool is satisfactory. Building this pool has been a total nightmare with Sylvan Pools, would not recommend them to my worst enemy. This experience has not gone smooth at all. Their lack of communication, contractors turning up never having the right tools. They are not professional at all. We sure did pick the wrong company. They are RUBBISH!!!!!!
We're in the process of having the pool built. So far, so good!
