Four of us have enjoyed Restaurant Weeks over the past 12 years as a means of finding great places to eat in North Dallas! Arthur's is a real find -- a hidden gem in Addison about which we hadn't heard on the newcomer grapevine. This year, we selected Arthur's because of the chateaubriand entrée! Attended Arthur's for restaurant week and found the experience very enjoyable from the décor to the staff to the excellent food and wine. My wife loved the redfish and I had the tender chateaubriand. The wine list is extensive and the service impeccable.
The courses: 1. Shrimp Cocktail - hard to mess up and was great 2. Lobster & Crab cake with cream corn - really disappointing. Cream corn was the only flavor and the crab cake was flavorless. Never had a crab cake wth corn even in NJ and this was horrible. 3. Salmon with champagne sauce and capers - this was the best part. The haricots vert and mashed potatoes were not great, but the salmon was perfection. Great flavor, moist salmon. Tiramisu - one of the better ones I have had. Would definitely recommend!
The service at Arthur's was very strong, attentive and cordial. The food for Restaurant Week was ok but not stellar. The 4th course from CM was U4-6 shrimp that was ok but tasted a bit gritty. The fish we had for the meal was good and I really enjoyed the fresh leafy, sweet and sour salad. The mashed potatoes I had with the fish were stellar as was the veggies. Clearly, Arthur's has been around for a long time. This was our first visit and the charm and tradition were great. The food was consistent and good. Great fish and crab cakes. Veal was fall off the bone tender. Great restaurant with a "vintage" feel to atmosphere, food, and waitstaff
Service was amazing. After dinner our server reserved a table for us at the bar so we could finish our bottle of wine and enjoy the live band. The atmosphere was inviting and energetic. Crème Brulee was perfect! Lighting was dark which I like. Very romantic and private. I will be going back.
Arthurs is a beautiful and elegant restaurant with outstanding service and just the right amount of attention. The atmosphere is upscale, and the four of us (two couples) felt the attention we received was the proper amount, respectful, , and without feeling rushed even while we occupied our table for 2 hours.
