We enjoyed our visit to Arthur's (our first time). The service, decor and food are old fashioned as we expected but all excellent. The clientele is also very old fashioned. Our waiter was very responsive and made every effort to make sure we were happy. The only downside we experienced was the smell of cigarettes seeping into the dining room from the adjoining bar (which was hoping on a Friday night). Other than that a lot of fun.
21st Annaversary had to be special. I thought about changing our reservation to another restaurant after reading about smoking in the bar etc. We haven't had such a wonderful dinner experience in 21 years. If the dim lights, dark wood and aquariums don't get you, the service and food quality will. Henry was the most professional and fun weighter ever. Everything about the food and service was exceptional. I came in from a flight and caught the tail end of the kitchen being open and had great service and food! So enjoyed it so much brought back two friends two days letter! And another incredible meal! Love Love Love it!!!
We love going to Arthur's for formal celebrations for several reasons, Good Menu Food always comes out perfect, always Drinks are fantastic (alcohol and coffee) Service is always impeccable Atmosphere and decor Arthur is a dying breed of restaurants that believes in good 'ole fashion leisure dining experience and proper waitstaff etiquettes; pulling out the chair for a woman, placing the napkin in a woman's lap, sorbet between the starter and main entree to cleanse the palate and all around attentiveness. We've dined at Arthur's many times over the past 11 years, and we are never disappointed. The food is wonderful and nicely presented. The ambience of the restaurant is elegant and tasteful, and the huge aquariums that form the wall between the restaurant and the bar area is a constant source of visual interest. Went on Saturday night which also happened to be 4th of July so streets were jammed packed and we were over an hour late for reservation. The restaurant was very understanding and got us seated right away. We actually ended up in the bar as the band was coming on and the music was great and so was the crowd.
Had been there before, service and food was good. Went on a weekday (Tuesday). Not crowded at all. Music is played in the bar area every night M-F, where we went after our dinner. Both of us very satisfied. This is upscale so bring money, $$$. But great place to take a date or out of town visitors.
Everything about Arthur's is 5-Star from great wine and delicious food to impeccable service, I'd give it a 6th Star if I could. Really enjoyed my evening there with a date and I will return.
Best evening we have ever had at Arthur's. The food was particularly good with Dover Sole and Sea Bass fantastic. Service from Marty was very good and attentive
