It was alright, not great. Bad smell as we walked in and rooms are okay for the price.
Based on my family's experience, this facility has several ongoing concerns. The food quality has been inconsistent, and some promised improvements to maintenance and cleanliness have not been completed. The outdoor areas are often affected by bird activity, creating unsanitary conditions that can impact residents' comfort and enjoyment. Overall, the experience has been disappointing, and I would not recommend this facility.

This place is not for my family. The building is outdated. It did not have a clean smell. The staff was friendly and helpful though. Prices are too high for an old place.

The staff is very friendly and accessible. Administrative people have offices that enter from the lobby and they are always willing to visit and listen if you have questions or problems etc. The cleanliness score isn't because the overall place is dirty - it is because the housekeeper is lazy about doing her job in the apartment. Didn't change the sheets until I brought it up with management, sweeping and mopping not done regularly etc.
Facility sold an d new owners have changed everything except the rent amounts. Food is terrible, no transportation, maintenance is slow. There has been a large turnover of facility staff. There was no hot water for 5 days, elevator was not operating an d eating place is on the upper floor.

The biggest complaint I had about The Clairmont during the time I was there was the management - they did not seem to care about the residents at all. There management was terrible, but the day to day staff was great.

The Clairmont needs a new manager. The elevator is on the brink today, and we are stuck on the first floor when I live on a higher floor. They expect those that are in wheelchairs, to still use the stairs. I wanted grab bars for my shower. The community let me know that I had to get notes and then the community still wanted more information. Finally the maintenance man came in to place the grab bars in my bathroom. Our initial visit to the Clairmont met our expectations but the incidents that followed after we're not acceptable. I think family or a friend should help make the decision for the elderly as we took him to see the place and researched it for him especially as there is power of attorney in place. They should have someone present when signing a lease and if not be very sure the elderly is competent to sign and has full knowledge of what they are signing and paying for.
