I went to Aspen Dental after having the same dentist for over 20 years. After my initial appointment they found 4 cavities and one tooth that required a root canal (the pain was the reason for my first appointment). Apparently my previous dentist who had not taken any x-rays for 3 years had totally missed all of this! The cavities were a result of 4 teeth that had cracks or chips in previous years, my old dentist patched the crack/chip without x-rays and literally sealed the cavity, which continued to fester. I have no problem with the work they do on my teeth however their manager tried to get me to schedule 4 caveats to be drilled by the end of the year. Also a cleaning. It all came out to 700 out of pocket. Why am I being rushed to drill these caveats before the end of the year? The dentist told me two of the four r not yet a concern? I felt so taken advantage of it was ridiculous. There are three months left in the year..slam me with 700? I don't think so. I'm going to keep this short but feel the need to keep other people from being taken advantage of by this scam of a "dental practice." I had an absolutely terrible experience at Aspen Dental in Dedham yesterday. After taking X-rays, I had a quick assessment by a dental hygienist (which focused only on measuring my gum pocket depth- coincidentally explained by huge posters for the drug Arestin in every room). I have to say that the staff is great and I feel like I've known them forever! The experience at this Aspen Dental office is all about you and what you are comfortable with. I have a serious fear of the dentist, but Dr. Mahesh is a very skilled and caring professional and I'm glad I found him! I would highly recommend this practice!
Prior to being seen at Aspen Dental, I was extremely self conscious of my " smile".
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst experience ever. Front desk was nice. Dental assistants/hygienist/dentist were all thumbs down. Completely money driven and blatantly obvious. Needed a crown asap which they were basically holding hostage until I got a bunch of unnecessary work that had to be done "first". Seriously worst dental office ever, do not go here.
