The Dr is fine but the waiting time for your procedure is unacceptable. We waited over two hours to have a procedure that literally took a few minutes to perform. the scheduling practices need to be looked at and changed.
I had lasik surgery just over six months ago. Prior to surgery, everyone at Atwal was very nice and helpful. As soon as my surgery was done and they were paid, everything changed. I contacted them regarding a billing issue and they were extremely rude and refused to help me. Furthermore, I had an issue with my eyes about five months after surgery and they have done nothing but give me problems and been nasty to me. I will NEVER come back to atwal eye Care again. I had my first visit at the sherdian drive office on Thursday Sept 6th, when I first got there the receptionist was very nice and inviting but as soon as my name was called it all went down hill. The first woman that took me back was very rude and absolutely smelled like cigarette smoke the whole room stunk I felt as if I was going to throw up. not good...they put a multi focal lens in my eye and its been 3 years now and they ruined my eye sight...I never wore glasses in my life and I do now and they wanted to do the second eye and charge 2xs the money...people be careful with your natural eyes...wear the reading glasses I wish I never had it done...
Atawl gets 0 of 5 stars specifically for Dr Karen Schoene. I saw her two weeks ago as she was a fill in for my regular eye doctor. I would like to note I called Atwal to complain privately to the office manager- I could not leave a message in their phone system. The receptionist then said she would give the message, but I never heard back. I called 2 days later (twice) and no one answered (mid day), and the system would not let me leave a message.
