See your existing patients in the event of an emergency. We were told to get care elsewhere.

Absolutely DO NOT have your beloved pet cremated by this facility!!!! They charged me $137 for the exact same cremation that Dumb Friends League would do for $35. They use the same cremation facilities and you receive the exact manner of remains and certification, yet they feel they are justified in upping the charge by an extra $102. It is insulting and reprehensible that they would take advantage of their customers after suffering a heartbreaking loss. You can only imagine what they do to your animals order to line their ... read more

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CRIMINALS! I'm mentally and physically disabled, and living on a small fixed income. My boyfriend brought my beloved companion cat here for a supposed mouth infection, and they took me for a ride. Waved around some x-rays, told me it was crucial to pull 11 of his teeth to keep him alive. $1400 in appointments and dental work later, and his mouth still seemed infected. When we came back, it seemed like the vet had always known the truth. He had fast-developing mouth cancer in his lower lip. If they hadn't... read more

Business response:

We take our online reviews seriously, as everyone at our clinic is very passionate about what we do and we truly care about the well-being of each of our patients. Also, providing you with great customer service is very important to us. We are very sorry that Josey has cancer, which unfortunately is not always visible in the earlier stages and can progress very quickly. I assure you that we in no way had the intent to mislead you or cause any financial distress. We are always available to speak with you more in regards to yo... read more

Beware. Dishonest and terrible staff. We were lied to about the cost of a procedure multiple times, only to be told about the real cost when there was no chance to back out. We were told if we backed out, we would still be charged hundreds for the procedure. The vet made threatening remarks regarding the safety and wellbeing of my dog. We were then forced to pay the cost before they would relinquish the dog back into our care. GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!

Business response:

We regret that your experience at our hospital did not meet your expectations. Based on what you've stated in your review, we did not meet our own expectations for the level of client service we strive to provide. As is our policy with every patient, we reviewed the costs of the procedure with your family right before the neuter surgery. The estimate explaining costs was signed which authorized us to proceed with the procedure. We welcome the opportunity to speak with you and determine if we can implement any changes for imp... read more

our cat came in with his mouth oozing pus from his mouth, and they convinced us he needed 11 teeth pulled, putting our family into debt well into next year. when his mouth kept oozing, we brought him back and he was immediately diagnosed with incurable cancer, almost as if they knew all along and just wanted to rip us off. on our way out, Rose almost seemed to relisg being as horrible to me as possible. it's terribly expensive and not worth it to go to the Aurora Animal Hospital. we will never go back!!

I have LOVED this hospital for a very long time because they have exotic vets, that care very well for my guinea pigs. When I saw Dr. Tammy last year, she did a very thorough exam of my pigs, and knew a lot about guinea pigs. Which is rare even in exotic vets, because they are so specific. I wrote a 5 star review last year, and have always recommended friends with exotics in Denver area to head out to Aurora and see the exotic vets they have out at this location. I called with a concern today that I had with one of my guinea... read more

I have been buying my dogs food from here for seven or eight years and today they told me I could no longer buy my food unless I have my dog examined which seems to be a little bit of extortion to me I will not be buying my food or bringing my dog here for care ever again

Business response:

Mr. Griffin, we appreciate your feedback and apologize for any inconvenience that our updated Food Policy has caused. As you can imagine, we want to ensure the highest quality care for our patients which includes confirming speciality and prescription diets are still working for them during their annual exams. We thank you for your understanding and will have our hospital manager touch base with you as soon as possible.

Long story short: we took our 6 month old puppy in because she threw up a little stuffed animal duck. I let them know that she ate a little bit before leaving but I took it away because I didn't want her throwing up in my car. (They never wrote that down). They took X-rays and told me that there was a chain that she ate and if passed on it's own could be fatal. So they recommended surgery. I received a call after surgery telling me that the only thing they found was kibble. So basically they could not tell the difference bet... read more
