Our only real complaint is the poor menu selection - mostly burgers not enough chicken or fish choices - last time I had a delicious Thai (fish?) curry - there was nothing like this on menu- seemed like burgers either meat or vegetarian types or pies were the main menu choices. Plus Sandwiches or salad on the lunch menu. Not enough variety. Our friends loved the haggis pie they both had, I had the cauliflower-it was ok but didn’t taste the coconut yoghurt or tahini. Our Waitress was lovely & really helpful & friendly thoug... read more

Jasons, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at Badger & Co!
Service was painfully slow but maybe they were short staffed. We weren’t in a rush so was ok. We needed to remind for some things to come out. All staff working were good and doing their best. The winner of this place for us is that on a Friday night it never got noisy, it filled up and was busy but relaxing and we could easily chat. Great food for grazing with a few drinks and friends. We will be return.
Business response:
Sarahg, thank you so much for the positive review! We have been a little short staffed at times but rest assured the team are working hard to ensure your experience is a memorable one. We look forward to your next visit! Take care!
Went with the kids (teenagers). Real pub grub focus on the menu. Food is excellent and tasted brill. Not many lighter options. One point for us was that the service was pretty slow. All done with a smile and the staff were lovely.
Business response:
Alistbr40, thank you so much for the positive review!
Food was good as always. But very slow service despite only 3 other tables being there (although I’ve never had this issue before!)
Business response:
Hi Amy, Sorry to hear the service wasn’t as you are used to in Badger. Please come back soon so we can give you a great experience! Regards 🦡
Visited a few times over the years. Only had a main last night which was very nice. Will be back in a few weeks I’m sure.
Business response:
Hi there! Thanks so much for your review, please come by soon! Regards 🦡
Sold out of roasts by 3pm so we had to go elsewhere. Really disappointing on Easter Sunday
Business response:
Hi there, Really sorry to hear this, we hope you return soon so we can provide a better experience for you Kind regards 🦡
I ordered a chicken pie, the menu has changed since my last visit and so had the consistency of the pie, lots of gravy. My friend had duck, served rare, wasn’t asked if that was ok or not, very difficult to even cut. Not a great experience, haven’t been in over a year, not sure it’s worth another visit
Business response:
Hi shelaghc, We’re sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience with us. We would love you to come back and show you how great our food and service is, as this is not the norm in our restaurant. Hope to see you soon Regards 🦡
A theme semi-inspired by Wind in the Willows characters, food your usual local dishes (using local, seasonal ingredients), and the staff are helpful & welcoming.
Business response:
Hi FrancesT, Thanks so much for your review, we love that you had a nice time in our restaurant. Please do come back soon Kind Regards 🦡
We had a minor mix it up with one of the meals we ordered. We ordered smashed avacado on toast and received avacado eggs benedict. The waitress was lovely and we got a free drink whilst waiting on the avacado on toast to arrive. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as the food was lovely and it was a birthday celebration.
