Terrible experience, My daughter and I went today 9/26/23 to have some fun bowling. This was our first time here and as we were getting ready to play, I asked the attendant if she could put up the bumpers. She came back and before she put them up, informed me the woman at the front desk was making comments about my child being special needs. I just went to Bandera Bowl to practice a few games. I asked for lane 20 and the guy at the counter told me I couldn't have that lane or any lanes on that side because of leagues starting soon. It was 3:55pm at the time. Leagues start at 7pm? There were people bowling on that side already so what was the difference? What a shame, because I used to bowl at Bandera for many years. I guess they didn't want my business.

DO NOT COME HERE! There are better places to bowl in SA. $1 popcorn tasted like .2 cent popcorn. Burned, cold disgusting. Ordered my food @ 7:40 didn’t get it till 8:45 and my team was already done bowling by that time. Only 2 young kids working the kitchen. 1 lady at the bar. This place needs a new manager!! ASAP! 0/5 stars.
rude counter help. not social distancing. plenty of empty lanes not being used.
half of the lanes are open and we are told the wait it 45 minutes. in that time no one bowled on them

We are actually at 100% capacity. Not sure what time you tried to get on but it’s very likely lanes were being held for an incoming league. Our staff should relay such info. We recommend calling ahead to check lane availability as some league nights are busier than others. So sorry for the inconvenience.
the lanes are too old the balls were getting stuck the lanes they were turning off and on it was all nothing but delays delays waste of money they should knock it down and rebuild it...
Lanes kept messing up and getting stuck they blamed it on us. No one was social distancing and mask are not enforced. Place needs a TOTAL update... shoes had holes in them and Seats and floors.
The centers staff was very friendly but on the bowling side it was awful. The approaches were filthy and sticky on the lane I was assigned on. The lane conditions were awful as well. I understand a center using lighter oil on the weekends for non tournament play but as a stroker I was playing 4th arrow and hitting the 7 pin! Normally you can see an oil line where the machine applies the oil and there was none. I took a pic as proof because I hadn’t seen such neglect in a long time.
