Amazing Bao buns! The crispy chicken was the best. So much flavor. The noodle bowl I could have done with out, the noodles were cold and hard and the sauce wasn't that great. But the fluffy flavorful Bao buns alone are worth the trip.
Came up in an Instagram ad today, and since I work around the corner I decided to try it! Order was ready in 7 minutes and it was great! The Falafel Bao's are killer!
This place is good! The portions are small, but they make incredible bao sandwiches. The buns are soft, fluffy and they complement well with the sauces and fillings. It is a great fusion restaurant, but they are a little pricey, especially if you are leaning towards wanting a filling meal. They don't have the most extensive menu but they do a great job with what they do do.
The concept is kinda cool: bao with diverse filling options, from teriyaki chicken to pastrami beef and falafel. However, the execution is not there. It feels bland overall.
Was not impressed by the one vegetarian bao option on the menu. Shishito peppers were good but wish they had a greater variety of vegetarian options.
The food is very good. But the guy that works at the front is very rude. He always has an attitude and rolls his eyes at me when me and my buddy place and order. We go about once a week and it's an unpleasant experience every time. It makes me guess if I ever want to go back.
Fresh fast food. Location is clean. Service is lacking. We weren't approached right away and the cashier couldn't answer my question about the beverages. I can't have dairy and I was trying to figure out if they had alternate milks for their iced milk tea options. Had to repeat my order a few times. The drinks are quite expensive for $5 for a pineapple mango lemonade (that wasn't great).
To be honest this was the worst bao buns id ever eaten. I know they weren't traditional or authentic but I don't believe I've ever tasted a piece of food that tasted like it was one of those aesthetic meals. The best thing I had was the soda and it was a little flat. The flavors were not good in the lil bao wow or the bao boa, the bun was falling apart, it had a weird taste too, the short rib didn't have any flavor. It was a chaotic meal, I only took 2 bites of each and was done.
We decided to try this place out because of the raving reviews and were actually underwhelmed. There was a strange smell when we stepped into the establishment (which should've been a red flag for us), but we still decided to stay and try out the buns. The combos prices don't make sense to me? If each bao bun is $4.95 ... how is getting 3 bao buns for $14.50 a combo meal? Food wise - I had the sticky chicky and wasn't wowed by it. I didn't hate it, but it's definitely not something I would get again. Truthfully, I don't ... read more
