About this business

When the cornerstone for Barley Creek Brewing Company was laid in 1792, it marked the start of what would become one of the most historic buildings in America. Hey, we’re sure the White House is a nice place and all, but we’re just saying… we’d rather be at Barley Creek. Okay, here’s the official histo... read more

came here years ago for my birthday and recently went back after snowboarding since it's so close to camelback. plentiful parking and seating. the staff is quick to serve which was nice (we did have an issue where they start the pizza at 4 and it was 3:55p and i stated that i don't mind waiting extra time until they start as apparently the pizza person wasn't even here yet, and i got a semi-standoffish response- luckily the person did come in a little while later and was able to make my order but still, makes you wonder if t... read more

Food is good, but it's a tourist trap. They don't take reservations on Saturday, the place was packed, so after a 45-minute wait, they stuffed us into the overflow room. Tables are on top of each other (what has Covid taught us??) and when the sun is starting to set, the people nearest the plastic windows get blasted in the face by the sun. One-third of our party left sunburnt! I suggest they take out a couple "picnic tables" so guests can have some space to relax and enjoy their meals. And for God's sake put some shades ou... read more

Business response:

Thanks, Kathy, for the review. The Bluestone Room is a relatively new edition that will keep getting better with suggestions like yours. You are right - We don't take reservations (even for Creek Club Members) on Saturdays - during ski season. We are locally owned and charitable - and IMHO tourists are locals, just from somewhere else, and should be treated exceptionally well along with every guest that supports us. Respectfully, Trip R

Great Staff Great Food fantastic beer if you like ipa you have to try the citrablem it's a double and my favorite even among other breweries only downside is they get very crowded on the weekends so is call ahead an see if they are taking reservations

Business response:

Thanks Teddy - I too enjoy the Citrabellum Double IPA. We take reservations mid-week. Friday and Sunday we set aside about 40% of the tables for reservations. Saturday, during ski season - (We're a Brewery - Distillery) it's just not feasible to take reservations. We are working on a F&B concept at our Barn across the road that might allow us to accommodate and take more reservations.

Damn good Meat Lovers Pizza. Damn good Citrabellum Double IPA also. Get the pizza and the Citrabellum DIPA also.

Business response:

The mix up with the beer flight should have never happened. Sorry about that. Would appreciate a second chance to make a first impression and I got the next flight. Respectfully, Trip R. Owner, Dishwasher!

Totally meh. Burgers and beer were ok. Locals atmosphere. Food was disappointing for price. Not bad to get a flight, or take out beer, if you are staying at Camelback.

This was always one of my go-to spots when I was traveling for work out this way. The beer was always good and I really liked their blueberry sour. This place is very noisy and busy being next to the ski resort but the speed of the service was always reasonable. The staff I interacted with was always friendly even when it was really busy. It's a little expensive but it's in a touristy area so it's to be expected.
