When the cornerstone for Barley Creek Brewing Company was laid in 1792, it marked the start of what would become one of the most historic buildings in America. The building would eventally grow to include 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 28 fireplaces, a tennis court, swimming pool, movie theatre and bowling alley. Oh, wait… that’s the White House. There weren't much eateries around the resort so we opted for the closest one that looked decent. It was nothing fancy, just a hometown restaurant. We went there twice, once for dinner and once for brunch. For dinner we ordered the pizza and it was not the best. There was a lot of flour on the bottom of the pizza like literally a layer of flour. We had to send it back and the second one was somewhat better but still had a decent amount of flour on the bottom the wings were good, we had different flavors and it hit the spot. ... read more

Thanks for visiting Barley Creek twice during your stay. Our Breakfast concept is fun. Guests can order a flight of Mimosas or a flight of Bloody Marys. The Banana Foster French Toast is one of my favorites. If you were looking for something different from a burger .. the Nashville Chicken sandwich is a favorite. Great local spot! Came him here during a trip with the family. They brew their own beer & distill their own whiskey, which is excellent. Food was terrific. Tried the burgers, pasta, sandwiches and salads over the course of a few days. Went back a couple times. Service was top notch. Super friendly wait staff made the experience a lot of fun. The Beer is quite amazing. I rarely drink beer but here the offerings are all great. I do wish their brewmasters could come up with a zero alcohol offering. The lagers, ales and IPA's are amazing recipes. The food is good too. We love the Fish and Chips, Pizza, burgers and Pulled Pork Sandwhich. Prices are fair and service is generally good. I come here frequently, sometimes as often as 3 times per month.

Great food, excellent service and place was nice with plenty of TVs to watch the games. Dasha T. was our server and she was amazing. We had the meetlovers pizza and the apple beet salad and both were great! Definitely recommend and ask for Dasha!

Located in the heart of the Poconos, the atmosphere is absolutely great! I never give an establishment five stars because to be honest with you, I don't even know what that means, but I believe four-star says it all. The food is great as well. Enjoy!

Food was just ok. We ordered takeout and only went because they had gluten free optio so. Not the best for takeout
Visited with a large group. Had to wait 40 minutes to be seated - the kids were getting very cranky while we waited too. Service was quite slow and our food took a long time to reach our table. I ordered the Beef Fajitas - the herb butter rice was under seasoned, as were the tacos.

Thanks for letting me know - We do get busy this time of year and if you have cranky kids that makes it even more of a challenge for the team. You already waited for a table and now once you have been sat every minute (kids are still cranky) can seem like two. We usually get it right and strive to deliver good old-fashioned hospitality. I was pleasantly surprised at how god it was since it seems very touristy. Indeed, I think a lot of the patrons visiting just came from the camel back resort around the corner. We dined in on a Thursday evening. We were told the wait would be an hour but only ended up waiting for about 15 mins which was nice since we were outside with 2 toddlers and a 5 yr old. Barley Creek is on the mountain road near Camelback Ski Area and yes some of the guests may be just visiting for the day - Having said that I'm of the opinion that every guest is a local - just some of the locals live a little further away.
