We have used Beach Properties as our rental company for Hilton Head Island vacations for many many years. The process for renting a property is simple and smooth. Worry-free vacation. They were great to deal with, responsive and professional. Our unit was very clean and there was a lot of information provided for us including an ***** to ask questions. We stayed at 181 Beachwalk and the unit was just as advertised. They made the checking in and checking out process easy. Dealing with them and payment along with signing the contract was also easy. Would use them again without hesitation.

So not discounting the serious problems encountered by other customers, our experience was the opposite. We found a good value house with pool in the Palmetto Dunes resort. As described, it was a 5 minute walk to the beach. The place was clean, beautifully furnished. The pool was perfect - small but clean and we had it heated (we were there end of October, 2021). There was a net to clean the pool of leaves, which typically fell overnight, but otherwise the pool, deck, pool chairs and loungers were all in good condition. The ... read more
PLEASE do not trust this company. We had a trip with 14 guys coming to ** for golf outing to remember a close friend. But after getting hit by 2 hurricanes in 10 day, ****** would not lets cancel or even work a deal with 4 guys coming in from **. I send 3 emails to her boss ** with no from contact back.8 guys lost everything they owned, and this company says oh well. No return calls from management.
I rented a home from this outfit for the July 4th week of this year. Had a terrible experience with this company. There were numerous issues with the home that we quickly figured out on the first day (no working coffee machine, dishwasher was not active and many defects with the fridge, among other issues). The fact that there were problems is not the complaint. Issues arise with rental homes but the complete lack of response by Beach Properties was inexcusable. Rented one of their properties for 5 nights in early August 2024. Walked into the condo and the first thing that hits you is stale cigarette smoke smell especially because the ** was set to 75 and had not been running. We had to buy a candle that night. Lazy maintenance on this property. My wife hung up a hand towel in the master bathroom and the towel rack crashed to the floor. It wasn't actually secured to the wall, just placed in the holes. Rented a beautiful home at ***************** for a much needed break from recent family events. (Day 1) Upon arrival the entry key provided would not access the home. Had to call the emergency number for ******** which was answered and I was instructed on how to unlock a door. During the process I found 2 sets of keys under the entry mat (moldy and slimy) they also would not give access. Beware of this vacation rental company. First, they hide the bad reviews that come from 3rd party sites like VRBO or AirBNB. The only reviews posted on their website are positive. Many homes are in poor condition and in need of repairs which they want to fix while you are on vacation. The homes are poorly cleaned as our vacation found prescription drugs in the carpet and we have a baby just learning to walk.
