Verified Renter My resident experience has been disappointing. The management's poor communication, constant water shut-offs, lack of security, and ongoing repairs have created a frustrating living environment. The amenities are often unavailable, contributing to an overall negative atmosphere. The only saving grace is the location, but it's overshadowed by the numerous issues affecting residents' daily lives. Improvement is urgently needed.

terrible property mgmt, unsafe! Lived here two years - headline is this property is very unsafe due to the nature of the riverside neighborhood but it's made worse by a negligent property ownership and management groups. Bell (owner) refuses to install security cameras in the garage or fix broken entry ways. You'll have homeless drug addicts passed out in your hallway and your car will be broken into. Verified Renter Everything I need in an apartment community. The renovations/upgrades to the carpets, hallways & package room are all greatly appreciated. I can tell there's care & effort put into the building.

Crime-ridden and poor management I lived in this complex for several years and there were car break-ins nearly every week, homeless people sleeping inside the building, and a management team with a turnover rate unlike any I've ever encountered. Several residents have also experienced black mold and are currently in the process of suing the complex because of it. Don't be fooled by the pictures or any sketchy positive reviews. Join the community Facebook group if you really want to see how terrible this complex is.

Poor Management Where do I start other than if we hadn't put down a deposit we would have never stayed in this apartment after our experience? We haven't even fully moved in yet and this is one of my fiancè and I's absolute worst experience dealing with leasing and moving into an apartment. Great location with walkability and sweet amenities sold us and we couldn't have more regret sticking with this place. Wondeful place to live! I love living in South Shore! This is a wonderful community. The Management staff is wonderful, very professional and Friendly! Ginnie M. at the leasing office was and is a Superstar and her customer service skills strike out! She was not only helpful but super efficient in preparing my move-in. She followed up later on several ocassions to make sure I was all set and comfortable. I also got a thank you letter-handwritten by Ginnie - and a welcome bag. TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!! GREAT LOCATION, TERRIBLE UPPER MANAGEMENT!!!We recently moved out of SSD after living there for 3 1/2 years. We loved the location and amenities there, but we consistently ran into issues with the staff while we lived there. In our first apartment in building 3, we got a bunch of mold on our carpets, walls, and personal things. Buyer Beward Buyer beware. When our lease ended at South Shore District Apartments we cleaned our apartment and left it in meticulous condition. Ten days after we left, we were notified that the stove cook top had been damaged beyond repair and we were being billed $740. The appliances were all in perfect condition when we moved out.
