We had lunch on the second day they were open. They were slammed but we only had to wait about 15 minutes. Our waitress was just so sweet and several other staff members stopped by our table to ask if we needed anything. The portions were huge and everything we had was delicious!

Expensive 25-30 for two to eat breakfast, biscuit on red potatoes fried where cool and over done like sat under warmer too long. Yesterday seemed under staffed for the jamming business. But waitress once she found out we were there took good care of us. Today we shared a burger and fries, huge at the counter, 21.00 for 10oz burger and fries, two sodas. Have been to many Black Bear Diners and have always found them to serve great food and have awesome service. This one is no exception. Went for breakfast, food was amazing and service was exceptional. You never would have known that they had just opened. Can't wait to go back. We've been telling everyone that they have to go.
Delicious!! All I can say is anyone looking for great portions and fantastic prices, look no further. Will definitely recommend to family and friends!! Edit: I noticed a lot of recent reviews are stating that they see tables open while they are waiting 20-25 minutes. In service, there will be parts of the restaurant that are closed off, mainly because of staffing or whatnot. They don't do it on purpose.
It was GREAT! They had a waiting line but we only waited about 10 minutes. Customer service was top of the line (they have scads of people working there, you want for nothing). Food was quick, delicious and we weren't rushed at all. Prices were reasonable. Jazmine was our waitress but so much more. She was excellent, friendly and did Black Bear Proud! I give it �����!
We ate at the ew Black Bear Diner in Cottonwood Arizona yesterday. It was their Grand Opening Day. Excellent service and the food was to kill for. Not to kill a bear lol but delicious! I would highly recommend it to everyone in the Verde Valley! Thanks Black Bear Diner!!!
