Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. Today, we continue their mission at every Black Bear Diner across the country, as we passionately provide guests an outstanding experience. We love the State street Black Bear Diner even though we live Sandy. The food is consistently great and the staff (especially hostess Addison) are always very pleasant. It's worth a few minutes extra drive time for us.

The food is great. You really have to try the banana cream pie, yummy! The service was great too. The hostess, Addie, was very sweet and accommodating. Nice place to eat.

The first time we came it had barely opened. They were slow & confused. We have always enjoyed the Sandy location. The Draper location is so close to us we decided to give it another try. It was amazing. We have been back several times & brought friends that now come back. We had a server this last time fresh out of the army & he truly made our meal that much better. The meals are always delicious. We will continue to eat here.
