In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. We've been a couple times before, but most recently on Mothers Day. The place was completely booked out the door... which speaks volumes of the restaurant itself! The waitresses and hostesses were as calm and jolly as could be, telling folks how long their waiting time would be, and seated folks as soon as they could. The food is always fresh and hot, and for me so far, perfectly cooked, weather it be breakfast or Dinner! Portions are generous also, which is a huge plus to the wallet!
