In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. RecommendedFirst time will have to try one more time to decide if this will be a regular spot. Waitress was not attentive. No silverware for one in my party ( had to ask after his meal came ) had to ask for straws , had to ask for refills , ordered dessert and got wrong flavor. Food was good but our portions not as big as ppl brag. Daughters chicken tenders were overcooked ( hard crunchy )

It was some very good food! We visited on Saturday and had a 30 minute wait but it was worth the wait!

Small parking lot , it's a L shape so if you have a big truck it will be hard to get turn around when it's full

Good food for average price. Good selections on menu. Only complaint was a few items not available till 4 pm.
