So excited to have visited the first Black Bear Diner in Texas. I’ve been to the ones in Arizona and California and was ecstatic to know of this one opening. Although we live eight hours away we had a trip this weekend to Katy and we made it a point to stop by and were not disappointed as usual. The wait was a bit long, which is understandable with a new restaurant in town but the food of course was wonderful. Our waiter Chris provided outstanding service. Cool that you can order breakfast, lunch, or dinner anytime of the day every day. Went for breakfast but can't wait to go back and try the pie!
My new favorite place for family meals out. I love the environment! Ive had a number of dishes like biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon is unbelievable, corned beef hash, and even sausage and penne and its all been excellent! We always had great service too! All of our waiters have been very attentive and even managers stopped by once in awhile. My only request, i heard the turkey dishes dont come with dressing/stuffing. If management is reading this, please add dressing to the turkey dishes like other diners. Keep up th... read more
