AMAZING Food & Service... LOVE IT.... The COOLEST Black Bear Diner we've ever been in... The manager Alfredo and Celina (aka Giggles.. We gave her this name �) are AWESOME LOVE the atmosphere.

Miguel was awesome great disposition, I usually get biscuits and gravy but this time got it "bear" and with butter and jam was so good with my coffee I will never cover it again with gravy, I had the scrambowl and it was so good the breakfast potatoes were done to perfection my wife had a California omelet and was a half an avacodo sliced on top, always good quantity for the price

Cute diner with a rustic feel to it. Service was very prompt and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the portions we received (they are huge). The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious but well worth the steep price for it. The pancakes are excellent. The country fried steak was way better than any other restaurant we’ve tried. I can’t remember the last time I tried a new restaurant and was impressed. Cute decor, great food, HUGE portions, and the service was great too. We will be back.
We came here to eat simply because of an episode of The Office, and we were not disappointed! Jasmine was awesome, she made us feel right at home and took great care of us! We sat at the bar, so we got to see the interactions with other staff, and everyone seemed to really enjoy working there, and with each other (which is a huge factor in whether or not I'll return to any restaurant). And the food was amazing, home-cooked-stick-to-your-ribs delicious! Next time we're in town, we will definitely be back!

As always a great experience. From the awesome decor to the greeters, waitresses & waiters & of course the hearty helpings. Even though me & my girl shared a meal, we still had leftovers... The Bisquit that I always choose to get is a meal for 2 in itself after you add gravy.... I'm not military, but it being close to base the added a little extra welcoming to the soldiers by making the wood carved bears have Helmets & a carved out tank really adds some class to the Lakewood location...
