In 1995 founders Bruce Dean and Bob & Laurie Manley opened the first Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, CA. Their mission was simple: create a fun and friendly atmosphere where the local community could enjoy huge portions of home-style cooking at a reasonable price. This is my Favorite place to eat Breakfasts & Fish Fry Fridays! Not only is the food outstanding... but the service is excellent as well. Their mini desert pies are to die for. Anytime I'm traveling and looking for a great place to eat I look for a Black Bear Diner; I've eaten at the ones in Laughlin, California, Henderson & Las Vegas and they were all excellent! They even sent me a complementary gift card for a free birthday breakfast that was out of this world!

I like the steak and eggs special they had for $9.99!! It was well worth it. I got eggs, potatoes and English muffin with it.. it was delicious.. the waitress checked in my ever five minutes or so . I will definitely be back again.. great place to eat.. very relaxing too.
